Can anyone tell what RAM is called? And what does it actually do?? 🤔

Alright First... let's understand what RAM actually is? So here it is! It's the temporary memory of your computer or laptop…
To explain it with a simple relatable example imagine it's a working table of the computer…
Just like when we're doing some work we take out all the necessary stuff from the cupboards and keep it on the table beside us so we don't have to get up again and again… exactly the same way when a computer does some task it also pulls the necessary files out from the hard drive and places them on its working table i.e. RAM… and once the task is done this table automatically clears itself and sends everything back to its place… this working table of the computer is actually quite advanced… whichever file is needed it finds it on its own and hands it to the processor and once the task is complete it puts it back too… 🫣
That's why knowing two things about this working table or RAM is very important… otherwise the shopkeeper will easily deceive you by throwing around advanced terms like DDR Latency or Channels… 🤓
So just focus on these two things and everything else will be covered and you'll be able to bring home the best RAM… 🤷
The first thing is the size of this table and GB is the term used to measure RAM's size for example if the work involves multitasking like video editing or animation along with twenty open Chrome tabs at the same time… then the spread of work is very large… so a bigger size is needed and the budget should lean toward GB… even if the RAM's speed is a bit lower that's fine… but the size should be enough that all the heavy files can comfortably fit on it and the computer doesn't choke and hang! 😭
(A precaution: no matter what the task is these days a computer or laptop must have at least 8GB RAM!)
And the second thing is RAM's speed of picking up placing and moving stuff around called MHz now some creators are such that their work isn't very spread out they only open one or two software programs like graphic design or coding software or specific 3D rendering… but they want that whatever task it is it should appear at bullet speed the instant they click and that's where MHz comes into play… here instead of wasting money unnecessarily on higher GB RAM with high megahertz like 3600MHz or 5200MHz should be chosen… so that data races between the processor and RAM at lightning speed! 🥰
The rest of the precaution is that these days RAM of at least 2400MHz should be taken… yes if the budget is tight you can go a little lower… 😉
How much RAM should you have at minimum based on your work?
Normal use…
(like office work, browsing online classes, YouTube) 8GB is enough (but 16GB is better)…
Basic creative use…
like Photoshop light video editing, multitasking then 16GB (but 32GB is better)…
Heavy creative use…
Heavy video editing 3D animation or gaming then 32GB (but 64GB is better)…
Extreme use…
like 4K editing heavy rendering, coding + virtual machines then 64GB (but there's no real limit)
